Feds freeze 17 grants; Navajo work to clear funds

WINDOW ROCK — The Navajo Nation was notified in early May that federal funding from the U.S. Department of Justice had been frozen. Initially, only four grants were thought to have been impacted but it was determined later that 17 grants were frozen and drawdowns were suspended.
